The Board of Assessment Appeals is an official municipal agency. It is designed to serve as an appeal body for taxpayers who believe that the city assessor erred in the valuation of their properties or erroneously denied them exemptions. Hearings are held during the month of March for those wishing to appeal their Real Estate, Personal Property, or Supplemental Motor Vehicle assessments. Regular Motor Vehicle appeals are heard in September. The date and time will be published in the Norwich Bulletin as required.
